Well, this week had a lot to do with my sister Sarah. Sarah is a sweet girl with a big heart, good sense of humour and absolutely no ability to keep her mouth shut when the need arises.
Its the last trait that made my week especially interesting. Between her idea’s that my boss and I are destined for one another, and her insistance that I get her job where I work and her inability to accept a compliment, my head is spinning.
When all is said and done though, we had a really fun week. We spent one evening at my work setting up a "creation" room for making pretty orchid upgrades and had a blast. I almost broke my foot, she broke 4 pots, we skate-boarded on racks accross the greenhouse, became certain that my work is haunted and got yelled at by John Tesh. I credit all of this insane behaviour to the fact that I drank a coca-cola.
We also took a day trip to Mississauga where we spent the companys money on pretty pots and upgrades. We also visited some grocery stores and almost got run over in the parking lot by an asian girl who later stuttered to us (once the shock wore off) that she was "so so sorry". I made an attempt to save sarahs life by swooping her behind me but as she later informed me, it wasnt all the heroic because I should have thrown her out of harms way, not endangered us both. sheesh!
Then yesterday, she spent the day with me at work. We had a picnic on the greenhouse floor of salads from Harvest Barn, then spent the afternoon making fancy upgrades and photographing them. All was going well until she started on me about getting her a job. Then it got worse because when my boss came in to say good-night to us she put me on the spot by telling him that I had "something" to discuss with him. I said I didnt, then she said I did, then I said I didnt, and then he looked at both of us like we were crazy so then I said, "oh crap, fine then" and went into the hall to speak with him. At this point I realized that he thought I was going to talk to him about PERSONAL stuff and I was so overwhelmed with embarrassment that I choked out something about sara wanting a job but that I would talk to him another time and then ran back into the room to hide my red face.
After I finished lecturing her, we photographed each other in fancy poses (see my pics) and went home. She’s a pretty funny, silly and crazy girl, but I love her. She’s awesome 🙂
