Today is my nephew Noah’s birthday – he turned a whole 6 years old 🙂 Our spoiled little boy had one heck of a day; school in the morning and then it was out with Dad who took his little clone on a helicopter ride over Niagara falls. Mom and Becky went too, and at some point when I get the photos from mom I’ll post them on here.
So – Noah’s birthday, where was I? Oh yes – he had a helicopter ride which he LOVED, then he got home just in time to drop mom and bex off while he and dad went to get his favourite dinner – KFC. While gone, mom and becky decorated the house with balloons and streamers and all of us showed up bearing gifts. Even Uncle Roly came along with a very cool remote control VW for our little guy. When Noah got home, he was so excited to see the decorations, people and presents, lol. I thought he was going to explode, he just kept running around saying it was “the bestest birthday EVER!”
Dinner was the usual (hectic) and the conversation lively (religion, helicopters and pap tests) and then it was onto the cake and presents which, once again, I’ll post pics of once I get them. I got Noah a large race track that goes up 7 feet into the air and then shoots the cars down a steep incline and through a hoop. I call it, “The Window Smasher”.
And speaking of the cake, this actually brings me to the point of this blog. You see, mom made a cake of “mountains” and decorated it with little plastic dinosaurs. This in itself is quite nice. The funny part started when she borrowed my specialty cake pan. This pan happens to shape 4 rather large mounds of cake. However, on its own it looks like 4 sets of steel breasts. I mean, it really really looks like boobs.
This then led to Sara shoving the cake pan up her shirt, stuffing grass in her mouth and going on all fours like a cow needing to be milked. That then prompted becky to shove the empty KFC pail under her to catch the milk. That action then prompted me to actually attempt the milking.
As usual, a normal family affair turned into something that would send a lot of people to therapy, but I love these crazy people.
