So let me see. This month we’ve done a good bit driving around and visiting. Besides the chaos of our thanksgiving weekend, we took a day and drove to Oshawa to celebrate Joans 30th birthday, and a few days ago I spent the day in Guelph visiting Sarah for her 26th birthday. I’ve also been making quite a few cakes since a few of our friends had birthdays as well this month and I went to a baby shower for my friend Melissa who is due to give birth in 2 weeks.
We’ve had dinners with friends and I’ve been having coffee and going for lunch with the girls during the week. Greg has fallen in love with a car in our parking garage and talks about it endlessly (1986 Jag thats for sale), we went to the London craft show, the library’s annual book sale and tonight we’re going to some cute haunted house thing for Halloween.
Other then that, there have been some developments in my personal career… I dont know, thoughts? Shortly after thanksgiving I was offered a position as a volunteer coordinator for the railway museum in St. thomas. I almost accepted it, but then I got a call from my real estate agent saying he found us a great space for the bakery. I spoke to the museum and they confirmed that the position with them was only temporary so I declined and pointed my head in the direction of the space for lease. Greg and I both feel its a great spot, but are hesitant to sign the lease just yet. There are some other paper trails to go down and we need to keep praying about it until we’re entirely sure.
Actually, thats a lie – we’re already sure. We just need to make sure we have the right timing. Once we start, we cant stop so we may as well take our time 🙂 In the mean time, I’m doing some fundraising projects through the church, organizing a cookie trade for the holidays and designing and baking cakes and pastries as usual.
November will be another busy month but who cares. Greg and I are still newly weds, and still loving this exploration of our new life together. Happy Halloween!
